The quickest way to Koh Tao Map is by way of Bangkok Airways who fly direct from Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and a number of other destinations.
Upon arrival at Koh Samui, one can arrange transfer to through the airport information desk. Samui can only be reached by boat as there is no airport on Koh Tao Map. We recommend the one hour voyage by either the Lomprayah Catamaran or the Seatran Discovery which leave twice daily for Koh Tao Map. There are other options available via other boats, but these are by far the fastest and best ways to reach Koh Tao Map. Regardless of which option you choose you should be aware that the last boat leaving Koh Samui for Koh Tao Map is 12 noon.
The last catamaran leaving Koh Tao Map is at 3pm daily, so any onward flight bookings/reservations should ideally be scheduled for after 18:00 hrs to allow for any unforeseen delays. Transfers from the piers to the airport are readily available for minimal sums and in some cases included in the catamaran pricelist. Whatever you prefer, you can book directly through the above links online or you can book all your transfers through Coral Grand Resort.
Getting to Chumphon from Bangkok is very simple either by train or a comfortable VIP bus. Both options can easily be booked in Bangkok or online. Again Lomprayah Catamaran offers two trips and Seatran Discovery offers one trip to Chumphon daily and the price includes the transfer to Koh Tao.
There is also a very comfortable night boat option from Chumporn the MV Talaysub which leaves Chumporn for Koh Tao every Tuesday Thuraday and Saturday night at 23:00 hrs. MV Talaysub leaves Koh Tao every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 23:00 hrs.
Travellers from Phuket and Krabi typically pass through Suratthani, which is a long and at times uncomfortable journey in a minibus. Boat options are very limited and the only direct boat is a little dubious even at the best of times. This night boat leaves Suratthani every night at 23:00 hrs. We do not recommend coming to Koh Tao Map this route but recommend you fly from either Phuket or Krabi directly to Koh Samui.
Once on Koh Tao, guests of the Koh Tao Montra Resort and Spa need only walk to the end of the pier and our staff shall be awaiting you at the pier. Guests can look for their names on our welcome board and our taxis and friendly resort staff will bring you to the resort in our courtesy taxi.
Alternatively, guests may take a short scenic walk along the beach to the Koh Tao Montra Resort and Spa which is but a stones-throw from the pier.
